The Rules of Engagement & Club Etiquette
Hosting a round is an act of fellowship and charity. To ensure our network maintains the highest level of integrity and virtue, all winning bidders must strictly adhere to the following 48-Hour Protocol:
The 48-Hour Professional Check-in: The winning bidder must call the host club’s PGA Professional or Golf Shop at least 48 hours in advance. Introduce yourself as a guest of the member, confirm the tee time, and ask directly: "Are there any specific dress code, cell phone, or club policies I should be aware of today?"
Financial Responsibility: You are responsible for clarifying all costs with your host beforehand. If the post outlines a split-payment for guest greens fees, ensure this is settled gracefully according to the host's preference.
Tipping & Services: Ask the Golf Shop or your host about tipping policies for caddies, bag room attendants, and locker room staff. Never let your host cover a tip on your behalf.
Access & Boundaries: You are a guest of the member. Access to practice facilities, locker rooms, and dining areas is strictly at the direction of your host.
The Gratitude Protocol: Within 48 hours after your round, the winning bidder is expected to send a formal thank-you letter or note to the host member, and a note of thanks to the club's Head Professional for hosting.
